This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel - Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program . This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What You ' ll Get To Do: This position is a dual-hat position requiring the candidate to perform functional management activities as well as program responsibilities. It is expected that the Functional management role will comprise up to 20% of the candidate's time. The candidate will have 80% technical responsibilities: supporting SDS programs as an engineer within their same function. Candidate will act across multiple organizations to drive execution.As a Functional Manager, you will be required to provide a wide range of people leadership/mentoring activities and foster a culture that allows employees to learn and grow. You will facilitate and execute the performance management cycle for your direct reports. This includes setting goals, mid and end-of-year reviews as well as performance evaluations and compensation. This role will also require you to mentor your direct reports and be their first line of contact for career growth, training, and certifications funding, stretch assignments, etc.Essential Functions you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Promotes the professional development of the Homeroom workforce and fosters a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth, and continuous improvement. Manages and guides direct report annual goals, performance evaluations and compensations reviews. Ensures accurate time charging and timecard approvals. Manages conflict resolution, performance issues and improvement plans. Mentors career growth for team of direct reports. Aligns direct reports to technical roles based on program needs. Helps identify stretch assignments and opportunities - Works as the integration lead for all elements across the weapon system that interact with LGC Specific Hardware. As a Technical Manager (Test Engineering Manager) you will be required to support the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Test team to clearly identify and focus on ground and flight test requirements, development, interface design, testability, verification, and validation. The Test Engineer Manager will be responsible for the overall test and integration efforts to include but not limited to requirements, test planning, test execution of all Ground Test and Flight Test Missiles and Product Support Equipment required to execute. To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate must be a driver and leader for collaboration across many different sub-IPT teams for a successful integration, test, and checkout of the missile hardware.Essential Functions you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Integration - Responsible for the overall test and checkout and delivery of the hardware to include requirements, test planning, test execution of all Ground Test and Flight Test Missiles and Product Support Equipment required to execute. Lead the test execution team in the development of test plan and procedure documentation, assembly, and checkout procedures, and be the primary point of contact for coordination with the System Test Team for system level test execution. Customer Interface Management - Will be a primary point of contact for internal and USG customer interaction and coordination and a representative of the flight systems test team for missile flight and ground test campaigns. System Architecture and Verification Planning - Help lead the design and development of requirements verification decisions within the system architecture in coordination with systems engineering and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Design Change Impact Assessment - Ensure that approved design changes in hardware and software are compatible with existing components and subsystems, particularly for efforts requiring the support of more than one engineering discipline, through test and integration. Multi-disciplinary Interface Management - Develop comprehensive design and interface requirements and lead the verification effort, ensuring cross-functional communication. Requirements-based Testing and TLYF Management - Ensure program master test plans, integration concepts and integration flows developed by the Integrated Operations Team are constructed in a Test Like You Fly manner and verified. Data Review Management - Lead the process and review products for formal data review and hold the engineering teams accountable for objective, efficient and timely review of test data. Employee Management - Oversee the performance, progression and mentoring of the Integration, Assembly, Test and Checkout engineers on the team. Authority to manage personnel and direct activities required to accomplish the statement of work. Risk Management - Facilitate and own the risk management process and review board for test execution in coordination with the Missile Integration and Test Director and corresponding Flight Systems Risk Manager. Schedule and Cost Reporting Management - Own the test execution cost account and perform reporting and status monthly through program management reviews. Accountable for the cost, schedule, and quality of the Integration activities. Travel - May be required to travel up to 25-50% at times, depending upon current phase of the program and operations. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. You ' ll Bring These Qualifications: 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree; 4 years with a Masters US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification. At least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule. Experience supporting US Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries. These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification. Bachelors or Masters Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 8 years experience supporting US Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries. Previous ICBM Experience is a plus. Knowledge and experience using CAMEO and/or Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Principles. Experience using DOORS Requirements Management Database. Experience with Agile environment using software management tools such as JIRA and/or Confluence Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal. Knowledge of system integration and test principles and test plan development at any level of build (unit, sub-system, system, etc.). #Sentinelintandtest Salary Range: $119,300 - $178,900The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
