We have also received certification by The Joint Commission in collaboration with the American Stroke Association as a Primary Stroke Center. The role you'll contribute: The HIM Compliance Supervisor, under the supervision of the HIM ComplianceManager, is responsible for the daily operations of Compliance functions for the West Florida Region. Direct oversight includes the day to day operations for chart completion functions, and/or suspension, auditing and data security functions completed for Health Information Management within the West Florida Region. The ComplianceSupervisor is a Health Information Professional with a high level of Compliance knowledge and clinical proficiency necessary for the oversight of the integrity of the medical record. Works in conjunction with the HIM Compliance Manager and ensuring that all documentation that is completed by anyone credentialed on the medical staff is completed according to each site--------s medical staff rules and reguilations as well as all federal and state laws and regulations. Keeps all patient information confidential and abides with Privacy and Security regulations. The value you'll bring to the team: - Assigns an Monitors all job duties for the HIM compliance team. Advises Manager of issues and problems which hinder the efficiency of process.. - Maintains knowledge of Medical Staff Rules and Regulations for each hospital in the West Florida Region, federal and state guidelines, including but not limited to CMS, DNV, and JC regarding EMR completion and provides explanation when appropriate. - Trains and educates HIM Compliance team members on processes for analyzing the medical record, identifying missing documents, working the appropriate EMR documentation queues and medical Record Inbasket, as well as all elements needed for medical record infraction/relinquishment of privileges for credentialed members of the medical or allied health medical staff. Ensures training materials are up to date and collobrates with Corporate education team. - Monitors team productivity and quality and provides report to HIM Compliance Manager. Ensures monthly department goals are met. Monitors quality through random monthly audit. Responsible for providing feedback to team members of productivity and quality and ensuring accuracy rate of 98% or higher for the region. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed : - Associate's degree in Health Information Management - Minimum one-year previous experience or clinical internship required in regulatory and chart completion functions. - Previous management, supervisory or lead experience required. - RHIA or RHIT certification within six months of hire This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
